Dee-Jaying and
Emceeing at.....
The Common Room,
Sheffield University
It's a great pleasure to be
involved in what is a really stylish event. Five or six times a
year a variety of styles of live music covering rhythm & Blues, soul,
blues and jump jive are featured and at the moment I dee-jay at most
events.
Artists such as
Snake Davis'
Soul Band 'The Suspicions',
Mike Sanchez & The Portions, and
Ruby Turner
give you an idea of the pedigree of personnel that appear.
A buffet meal, beautifully
presented in a separate area can start the evening if you choose to
dine. You then take your place at a reserved table for the show
..... it's all better than pretty good.
I then play my vinyl before,
in between and after the band's sets.

The economic purse strings
are unfortunately biting at this fabulous venue. Only one Rhythm & Blues
event from now until Xmas is being featured but it's a good one.

The Revolutionaires
are appearing for the 1st time and will give me an opportunity
to play my jump, jive and boogie 54's between the sets.

Maybe I'll see you there..
The
following photos of my Dee-Jaying exploits at Sheffield were all taken
by that talented guy, Alan White, the creator of this website.

Cheers - here's to another
